Located in the downstream of Thu Bon River junction and belonging to the coastal plain of Quang Nam province and about 30km away from Da Nang City to the South, Hoi An is known as an ancient city and world heritage in Vietnamese land. What attract visitors to the land are not only harmonious natural landscapes or delicious food fascinated to visitors but also friendly local people who are extremely likeable. Wherever you visit, gastronomy is what nobody takes no care and it is not an exception in Hoi An. You will be familiar with the names like Cao Lau Mrs Bé, Quảng noodle Mr and Mrs Hải, Phượng bread or Chicken rice Mrs Buội when learning about the local cuisine. In general, the most ideal season to visit Hoi An is from February to April when the weather is in good condition with less rain and most pleasant temperature. A distinctive habit in Hoi An appealing to a large number of visitors from every regions coming here is the floating paper lanterns celebrated on 14th July of the lunar calendar on poetic Hòai river and in statue garden of Hoi An.



It is unavoidable to have moving and sympathetic emotions when immersing in the sparkling and fanciful beauty of thousands of paper lanterns floating on the river, watching an old woman selling sundries dreaming to the peaceful scenery of the Mid-autumn festival, or watching the little boys and girls peddling lanterns for tourists. All those things create a Hoi An with miracle attractiveness and irresistible urge in every person visiting the land.
